Easy Star's Thrillah

Easy Star All Stars have chosen their next tribute album and by just the selection alone it sounds like it is going to be awesome. Michael Jacksons "Thriller" flipped and mixed only how Easy Star knows how. August is the release date for "Thrillah" the tribute album and a month prior your itchy ears can get a hold of the bands release of Billie Jean Digital EP due out in July. Past albums like Dub Side of The Moon and Dubber Side of the Moon will give you a good idea of what this band can bring to an album like this one.

The band did tease everyone for a good few weeks when having a contest online for the fans to guess what album they were going to pay tribute to. It came down to Marvin Gaye, Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson. Any of those would have been a good choice but I think Easy Star did it right with this selection.

The band already has a long list of dates announced in support of this album. Hitting up a large portion of the US with Passafire and The Aggrolites as the openers for select dates and then heading out to the UK where Laid Blak will help hype the crowd before East Star All Stars dub their faces off.
