The incredible Sugarshack Sessions just released the last part to Hirie's 3 part docuseries and the entire film runs a little under 30 minutes. You can always read about an artist and their journey but when you add visuals and sound to such an incredible story it only makes you appreciate the person more. Sugarshack has been putting out incredible videos since 2014 and this is by far a favorite of mine. The story begins at the Sonic Ranch Studios in West Texas while Hirie is laying down the foundation to her new album. You witness the incredible group of talented musician’s she has all come together for the start of a record they are extremly passionate about. The film then heads out to Hawaii where Hirie grew up and tells her powerful story as an adolescent. Very gripping and emotional. You then head out to San Diego in part 3 to see the wrapping up of the new album. You can tell by the bits and pieces you hear that this is going to be such a great record. The most recent release "She Go" is fantastic and if this is what to expect on the new release then you can start to get excited. I know I am! You can catch Hirie on the upcoming Slightly Stoopid "How I Spent My Summer Vacation Tour" with Tribal Seeds and Matisyahu. To watch the 3 part documentary and tour dates please see below.
